LOL! Yep, if a song is that hot, it's a summer fave. The song sounded summery to me anyways.

I feel so lucky that I had the chance to see him perform and do his notorious "roll across the stage"! smile

Man, R&B now is so weak compared to artists like Gerald Levert sad

Yes, he was one of the last true R&B artist left.

LOL! No, what I mean is, when summer came, radio stations would pump it every summer after that.

Well, from my recollection the song dropped in the Summer of the late 80's. So your point is in the zone Daddy.

OK, I'll revise my list:

1.) ABC-123
2.) Casanova
3.) My Forever Love
4.) Baby I'm Ready
5.) Rope-a-Dope Style
6.) Smilin'
7.) Pull Over
8.) (Pop, Pop, Pop) Goes My Mind
9.) All Season
10.) Sweet Sensation

biggrin biggrin I know "Just Coolin'" was one of Levert's biggest songs and is essential for any Levert compilation, it's just not in my personal top 10.

Well, Billboard says otherwise. The song first charted in the Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart the week ending January 28, 1989.
