Anybody here like this group? biggrin Their music has a bit of soul and funk mixed together which I like very much. I feel they are very underrated. Great Group!

I think that "Wildflower" has to be one of their most popluar songs if I'm not mistaken. Thanks , tA! thumbs up!

For she'll awaken
And sleep's the only freedom,
That she knows
And when you walk into her eyes,
You won't believe
The way she's always payin'
For a debt she never owes
And a silent wind still blows
That only she can hear
And so, she goes"

Is that the picture from the "It's Been A Long Time" album?

On my last vinyl dig, I saw an album cover of theirs' and they were all nekkid. You could even see pubic hair on one of them. I really appreciated New Birth that day. I almost bought the album for the cover alone. lol

Anyway, I really love some "Wild Flower", "Dream Merchant", and "It's Been Such A Long Time".

Love all the ones mentioned but there's something about "It's Been Such a Long Time" that gets to me especially when Leslie Wilson goes crazy with the two female background singers and brother Melvin singing "hang on, hang on, hang on, it's been too long..."

Luckily for this kid of the '90s, I discovered this song was sampled by Something for the People for their song "My Love is the Shh..." music

Originally The Nite-Liters...

The Nite-Liters were the musicians backing New Birth. New Birth consisted only of vocalists. They were integrated together, yes, but I've seen them being referred to as separate acts even in the later New Birth years smile

Anyways... thanks for hipping me to some Nite-Liters, tA. I now own all of the Nite-Liters' albums. Great stuff thumbs up!
'Drumology' is such a good cut fro

As for New Birth, I only own two albums, Love Potion and Behold The Mighty Army.

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
