An amazing piece of aural beauty. Sure, it's a bit of a cultural hodge-podge artistically, and the sounds are cheasy even by 80s standards, but this is one of my favourite records for certain. If I could only find a nicely wornout vinyl copy of it as well, I'd be in heaven.

Bizarrely, I didn't even originally come to aware of it because of the David Bowie connection, but because the theme melody was featured on System 3's "Ninja Remix" -game on the Commodore 64 (it can be heard on level 3, a SID rendition can be downloaded from the web too in case you're interested).

it's beautiful...and the movie is great. I love to see it with my family.

I'm a huge Sakamoto fan , and I love this piece! I love the many live versions, as well as the soundtrack version. Btw, have you heard David Sylvian's vocal version with Sakamoto, called "Forbidden Colors"?

OMG you have NO idea how in love I am with this man.

I know we have some really knowledgable folks and sophisticated tastes floating around the org but I never expected in a million years I would see his name pop up here. That being said, in addition to his film work he does good electronica, and participates in one of my favorite Brazilian jazz projects, Morelenbaum2-Sakamoto :love
