Their original keyboard player, Milan Williams recently died.

So it really wouldn't be a reunion..

It's actually been done; back in the 90s, but the tour kinda fell off (maybe sluggish record sales?). With Zawinul's recent passing, a Weather Report reunion will never happen so I can accept the 2nd best fusion group doing it.

Anyways, this came up again a few years back....

Dear ALL !

Three of the four former members of the RETURN TO FOREVER, Bassist Stanley Clarke, Guitarist Al Di Meola and Drummer Lenny White - have agreed to reunite in a renewed RETURN TO FOREVER. Chick Corea is the only one holding up, and he is very important to RTF !

We, Stanley Clarke supporters, think that IT IS TIME !!!! IT IS TIME TO BRING RETURN TO FOREVER TO LIVE AGAIN !

Chick Corea is important for RTF reunion ! Return To Forever band - is Chicks creation... RTF is very important to Chick....
Whatever Chicks reasons - lets show our support for RTF reunion - Lets ask Chick to JOIN with his favorite BAND !!!

IF YOU LIKE the Music of the Famous Jazz Fusion Band RETURN TO FOREVER, If you would like to see the REUNION of those REMARKABLE MUSICIANS - PLEASE see the Letter(s) to CHICK COREA bellow. You are very welcome to edit the Letter or create YOUR OWN citing your own feeling and experiences with RTF music and music of RTF members.

IMPORTANTLY : GO to CHICK COREAS site and POST IT (!!!) to :

http://www.chickcorea...

TELL YOUR FREINDS, TELL ANYONE YOU THINHK MAY SUPPORT THE REUNION OF RTF to pic a Letter from this site or write your own and POST IT TO CHICK !!!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

They've actually reunited a few times a couple of years ago, for a few tours...Don't know if they'd keeop it together long enough for an album...

I get the feeling there's still some anymosity there. I caught their show at The Birchmere in Virginia a few years back--Kool show! But they were signing autographs afterwards, and Louis was obviously Highly Inebriated--and George was pretty annoyed with him....

Im still praying every night that one day we may see Prince and Michael perform together.

It would literally be the most insane sh*t thats ever gone down.

It wont ever happen though sad

As for a band to return, Jackson 5 no dount. I still think they are very underated by lot of MJ fans who just obsess and concentrate on Michaels solo stuff.

Tower of Power are indeed still touring. They played a show at Ronnie Scott's, London, last June. I'd have gone if the tickets weren't £75 a pop. Couldn't tell you who is in the line-up nowadays either.
