this girl had so many great songs. i'm really feeling this one right now.towards no one in particular though. sexy, mellow, and you can groove your ass off to it. has sort of a Sade vibe to it IMO. sort of..
this song still sounds current and fresh as i think most of her tracks still do.

I did not discover her music until a week before her death. I was tremendously saddened by her passing. Honestly, I feel music has gone downhill since that year. She is the last mainstream artist I can remember rooting for.

I remember in summer 2001, Prince posted some sort of props for this specific Aaliyah track on NPGMC. This was like a week or two before she passed.

I heard this one recently on a station more known for playing older school stuff as well as more mature artists. It was a very pleasant surprise. It is such a strong song but it sort of makes me angry that they went out to make this video and of course that trip would ultimately result in her death...and at that point they already had a great video for the more obvious pop single "More Than A Woman".

Yeah i always liked the song, and the album remains one of my all-time rb female albums, but this song is the one i thing i listen to the least on the album. The strange thing about this, was that the "Aaliyah" album wasnt catching on, i remember playing it all the time and customers just werent feeling it, but of course when she died everyone wanted it, had she lived i do feel that this album would not have caught on at all, sad to say, i wish it wouldnt have caught on.

That song kind of has that Atlantic Starr vibe to it. Nice groove. It also got me in trouble with my wife when she caught me staring a little too hard at the video. But she chilled out when I told her that Aaliyah had passed away recently.
