If this is for real, then I'm slightly disappointed.
As I discussed in another thread recently about Madonna, I think she is a very talented lady but she is getting buried under some cheap dance music.

I wish she'd realise there are fans out there who are OVER the 80s and who are over VOGUE and HOLIDAY...Some of us appreciate her finer art: namely that on Ray of Light and American Life.

I dont like to play the age card..but she's at a reflective time in her career (25 years) and it would've been cool for her to do something more reflective and mature...I just dont think that working with Justin and Timbaland are going to bring that out of her....

exactly. listen to this:

http://www.youtube.com/wa..._BZF_U082M

i just wish that she'd make a stripped down introspective album
still pop since it obviously suits her but something a bit more
mature and deep and not just electronics.

this is obviously a fan mix of frozen, but my god listen to how
effective it is.

eek

and that's JUST a piano. nothing else. no mirwais or timbaland.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

That's so beautiful...so haunting...you know listening to this...another suggestion would be for her to have reworked some of her favorite moments in her career and done them accoustic...(like Cyndi Lauper did w/ 'Body Accoustic')...or kinda like some artists rerecord their stuff for iTunes...that's great stuff...

Well, I guess it must have been real. Warner Bros. has ordered YouTube to take it down. shrug

American Life was awful. SOrry but almost none of the songs had strong melodies or hooks. The production was so thin and clean it sounded stripped of substance. Using thin snares and hi hats with UK dance music to make a political point was just mmmm....thats all i can say...mmm... hmph! Die Another Day and Nobody Knows Me were cool but otherwise in my opinion was a major slip and dissapointment.
Confessions was a great album. I still with she had put her ego and shit aside for some of the tracks but it was strong and different than anything ANYONE else was doing in the mainstream.
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

i liked american life. it's full of shit and ego-trippin' but it was still pretty damn good. madonna's problem is she limited herself from the jump to gay men and teens and, unfortunately, those are the two most superficial groups of music consumers out there. if she's trying to grow as an artist, the majority of those fans aren't interested.

The song has been removed due to a copyright claim. I guess that means it's for real. eek
