I could appreciate his talent if he wasn't so overhyped...

The same with The Beatles

Ditto. I respect him for being ONE of the guys to bring rock & roll into the forefront BUT constant talk about him annoyed me to high heavens.

I don't like Diane Ross all that much although I respect her hustle.

They're not legendary in my book but folks ragard them as such, these so-called Rock N' Roll bands who're regarded as "Rock N' Roll gods".

Fuck all that bullshit,,,Chuck Berry, Bo Diddly, Ike Turner & Little Richard ARE the Rock n' Roll gods.

The Beatles and U2 are OK, it's just those 2 people who really get on my nerves.

Oh, and The Eagles give me headaches.

I got Entertainment Weekly today and there was a picture of Janis Joplin on the inside cover. I didn't realise it was her until I saw a caption. She looked like Mark Wahlberg in the movie 'Rock Star' FFS, she had proper stubble on her face. She was in her 20s and she looked like my manky 60 year old neighbour who really let herself go about 20 years ago.

I shouldn't be so shallow about looks - I mean I'm an MJ fan so I can't say anything - but come on, she was disgusting. I can't get past that since her voice wasn't to my taste anyway and everything she did has been covered better by other people.

Co-sign, and about Ree-Ree, she has a nasty attitude. Like she's Miss It or some mess. I'd always prefer Etta, Martha and Gladys over her.

She's more than that -- she's the Queen of Soul! What it is, what it is, what it is?! lol
