MJ Denies Prince rumor;finishing album REP DENIES MIJAC WANTED TO TOUR WITH PRINCE: Raymone Bain counters story in London paper; says the two never spoke.
June 1, 2007 http://www.eurweb.com/pri...m?id=33985 *Could you just imagine – Michael Jackson and Prince in a co-headlining tour? Well keep trying to fathom it. A British newspaper reported Wednesday that Jackson had approached Prince with a proposal to perform a string of concerts together that would help re-launch his career, and that the Purple One turned him down cold. However, Jackson's rep Raymone K. Bain told EUR's Lee Bailey Thursday that the entire story is completely untrue. Britain’s The Sun newspaper claimed Michael was overheard complaining about Prince’s snub while putting in his appearance last weekend at the Sultan of Brunei's son's 25th birthday party, for which he was paid £5 million. The paper quoted sources who said Prince turned down the offer over concern that the hype surrounding Michael's comeback would overshadow the concerts, and he wasn't trying to come off as anyone’s supporting act. Bain, however, tells EUR that Jackson has not spoken to Prince and the entire article is a fabrication. "The article is completely false. These respective publications remain consistent in that reporters did not contact us regarding the validity of the story before writing it," Bain says. "Mr. Jackson has not approached Prince to perform with him on a 'planned comeback tour.' There have been no discussions with Prince. Period. We have been consistent in stating that Mr. Jackson is readying his music for release, which is his main priority at this time. In other MiJac news, the entertainer now owns a stake in the back catalog of rapper Eminem after his purchase of Famous Music LLC from Viacom, reports NME.com. Famous Music also owns rights to songs by Shakira, Beck and Bjork, all of which will join the Beatles catalog under Jackson’s Sony/ATV Music Publishing stable. "This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing,” Jackson said in a statement. “The diverse collection of songs in this catalog range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ATV." One of the world’s largest music publishing companies, Sony/ATV was formed in 1995 when Sony’s music publishing arm merged with ATV, which Jackson had purchased in 1985 for $47 million. Sony and Jackson each hold 50 percent of the company. Michael Jackson's black crested military-style jacket Finally, according to the AP, Jackson family memorabilia brought in about half a million dollars on the first of a two-day auction at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, auctioneer Guernsey's said Thursday. The auction, which wrapped up late Thursday, displayed more than 1,100 lots, mostly costumes, documents, awards and other memorabilia. One of the priciest items to sell was a black, military-style coat with an "M" crest that belonged to Michael Jackson. It fetched $24,000, said Guernsey's president Arlan Ettinger. Several awards sold for similar amounts, including gold and platinum albums presented to the Jacksons for sales of "We Are the World," recorded by a group of artists known as USA for Africa. The set sold for $20,000. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

(so he gets more then 1 days coverage) Online, if you notice none of his crap can hit TV anymore But, he has been doing this now for over a year. Jacko Stunt 101. The Public is really at the point PUT UP or SHUT UP! Turn the Mic on and perform. The TV Entertainment Media has dropped his ass, because really who cares what a hasbeen is doing? They have Britney, Nicole Ritchie,Lindsay & Paris doing Jacko Stunts.

When I went to Cali, I got to see firsthand how crazy some of Michael's fans are. Its like these people are complete freakshows. I'm sure some of them are nice people in real life, but its like they lose their fuckin minds when Michael Jackson comes to town. Ick.

Yeah that's great publicity right there! Give me a damn break. [Edited 6/1/07 16:35pm] "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ

It aint like Prince's album's are selling like hotcakes these days so whatever. Prince does not have an f-ed up image like MJ does (thank god) but many think he's just as big a hasbeen as Michael is. Can you imagine if MJ actually performed at these events, the Prince fans would be twice as brutal; yet Springsteen, 50 Cent, Aguilera and many other do private performances for money. Yet, when Prince wants to mix with the Hollywood set he throws "impromptu" gigs masquerading as after parties, sometimes at his home, imagine if MJ setup tent at neverland just to perform in front of Liz Taylor and Liza Minnelli.

Was it true that MJ wanted to be on the 1999 new masters disc, can someone clear that up? and that Doug E Fresh took a swipe at MJ on one of his verses. That disc is wack, but I'm always intrigued that P but Rosario Dawson on that album. I wonder if he hit it.

Let's get real here people...someone ask that you show up at a party and pays you 5-10 million dollars just to be amoung his guests... What's the big deal ??
people have done alot worst for money... some of you guys act like your so much better that everybody else... Like if you were offered that kind of money to do the samething you wouldn't... GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE !!! I'm a casual fan of Mike (I like his sister more )... I just don't see what's the diffrence in some guy paying George Michael 3 million to entertain his guest or the countless others who have performed at private party's for the Super rich
