Download Madonna's "Hey You"...for free...limited time only! UPDATE: IT'S THE WORST MADONNA SONG EVER!

Believe it or not, but msn music made the new song avaliable for FREE! eek

http://liveearth.msn.com/...nadownload

Inspired by Live Earth, Madonna has written a new song titled "Hey You," which is available exclusively on MSN, free of charge, for seven days. "Hey You" was produced by Pharrell Williams and Madonna and recorded in London. Madonna will perform "Hey You" as one of the headliners for Live Earth U.K., joining the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, the Beastie Boys and other performers at Wembley Stadium in London on July 7, as part of the 24-hour, seven-continent Live Earth concert series.

As the exclusive online destination for Live Earth, MSN is pleased to offer this song in conjunction with Madonna and is proud to donate 25 cents for each of the first 1 million downloads to the Alliance for Climate Protection, in support of Live Earth.

Review:

And here's another review of Hey You, coming from Adam-Michael James, co-author of the upcoming musical "The Nine Lives of Lucy Maud Montgomery", coming June 2008:

"Hey You" is a very interesting mix of new and old for Madonna. On the one hand, it's not the first time she's gone quasi-acoustic, the bells near the end are very reminiscient of 1989's "Spanish Eyes" (from the "Like A Prayer" album), and of course there's the references to her old songs - "keep it together", "open your heart", and "Holiday" is evoked in the line "a celebration is going on tonight". And yet, for all that, she does some very interesting things melodically, and especially vocally, seemingly reaching into territory she hasn't covered before - it almost doesn't even sound like her at times! The lyrics border on the simple, yet some of them rise above as standouts. There's almost a '60s feel to it...something very earthy...appropriate for Live Earth! And, as much as I loved "Confessions on a Dance Floor", it's nice to see her move away from the disco dolly thing and get back to something with roots, like the trees Live Earth advises us to plant!

Horrible lyrics:

[b]Hey you
Don’t you give up
It’s not so bad
There’s still a chance for us
Hey you
Just be yourself
Don’t be so shy
There’s reasons why it’s hard
Keep it together
You’ll make it alright
A celebration is going on tonight
Poets and prophets
Would envy what we do
This could be good
Hey you

Hey you
Open your heart
It’s not so strange
You got to change this time
Hey you
Remember this
None of it’s real
Including the way you feel
Keep it together
We’ll make it alright
A celebration is going on tonight
Poets and prophets
Would envy what we do
This could be good
Hey you Save your soul
Little sister
Save your soul
Little brother
Hey you
Save yourself
Don’t rely on anyone else
First love yourself
Then you can love someone else
If you can change someone else
Then you can save someone else
But you must first love yourself
Then you can love someone else

If you can change someone else
Then you have saved someone else
But you must first

Hey you
There are on the fence
You got a choice
One day it will make sense
Hey you
First love yourself
Or if you can’t
Try to love someone else

Keep it together
We’ll make it alright
A celebration is going on tonight
Poets and prophets
Will envy what we do
This could be good
Hey you

First love yourself
Then you can love someone else
If you can change someone else
Then you have saved someone else
But you must first love yourself
Then you can love someone else
If you can change someone else
Then you have saved someone else

But you must first

it's not that bad guys biggrin

the review above is pretty accurate imo. it's nice to see her get away
from the dancy disco electronics and her vocals do sound quite fresh.

it's not my fav madonna song by far but i do appreciate what she is
doing with this.

I think the song is similiar to the 'American Life' material. It would have fit perfectly on that album.

I just hope it doesn't appear on her next album pray I can tolerate this song as a charity thing, but it's not strong enough to appear on her album.

lol I agree,it isn't that bad. It's mediocre at best but most charity songs usually are. These songs always have lame "we-can-change-the-world"-type lyrics.
