FUCK YEAH! I remember when I was a kid and this song was in a part of "Nutty Professor." I remember growing up wondering who did it, then a few years back, I found it on iTunes and about did a flip! biggrin biggrin biggrin

I don't know much about Clarence Carter, But I bet he's one of those old Blues Singers who decided to give 80's R&B a try and got a hit. Am I right? BTW, That's one of the funniest songs I ever heard.

Just about right. He is an accomplished r&b singer. He reached the peak of his career in the 60s. His bigger hits are "Slip Away", "Too Weak To Fight" and "Patches". He style is a mixture of Otis Redding, Johnnie Taylor and Ray Charles (and not because he's blind either). In the 1980s, he had a "revival" with "Strokin'". I remember seeing him at a bluesfest concert in the 90s. The man gives a GREAT show and is a pretty decent blues guitarist.
