The Temptations vs. Smokey Robinson and The Miracles This is just for fun I know that, for the most part,if you like one of these groups, you would also like the other one too.But imagine that you are FORCED to pick one,who would it be?

Way b4 my time, but with what I have seen in bio's movies and music, I would have to go with the Temptations! If I HAD to pick only one.....

Overall, I have to go with the Temps. My favorite song by either group is "The Tears of a Clown," but a lot of that is probably from my intense love of Stevie. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Defenitly The Temptations. The only songs I like by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles are "Ooo Baby Baby", "Tears Of A Clown" & "Shop Around".

The Temptations...
...pretty much set the standard for male vocal groups of that era. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

What about "The Tracks of My Tears"? "You Really Got a Hold on Me"? "More Love"? Smokey and the Miracles are really underrated around here, huh? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I'm gonna have to say Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. They have more songs that I like.I even like many of their Smokey-less 70s hits ("Love Machine","Do It Baby","Don't Cha Love It").

The Temps all the way.
Smokey may have written "My Girl", but nobody can sing it better than the Temps. Plus you can't beat: During the Ruffin/Kendricks years: "The Girl's Alright With Me" "The Way You Do The Things You Do" "Girl (Why you wanna make me blue)" "It's Growing" "What Love Has Joined Together" "Since I Lost My Baby" "My Baby" "Get Ready" "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" "(I Know) I'm Losing You" "All I Need" "You're My Everything" "Loneliness Made Me Realize It's You I Need" "I Wish it would Rain" "I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You)" "Please Return Your Love To Me" and the Edwards/Ollie years: "Cloud Nine" "I Can't Get Next To You" "Ball of Confusion" "Just My Imagination" "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" "A Song For You" "Treat Her Like a Lady" "Lady Soul" I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
