Goldfrapp's Supernature was snubbed for Best Electronic/Dance Album SNUBBED.

This album was so much more interesting soundwise than Confessions, which sounded to me like one REALLY long song, but they had to give Madonna something, since she opened the show last year If you will, so will I

That's actually a euphemism for Madonna, believe it or not. :-/

That's actually a euphemism for Madonna, believe it or not. :-/ Haha, I know. But Allison Goldfrapp isn't exactly a spring chicken either. Plus, she was uber-bitchy about Madge last year; and while Confessions wasn't Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band, Supernature isn't Pet Sounds. If you know what I'm saying. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

PSB were robbed!!!! Really? I even liked 'Release' better than 'Fundamental'. I really expected a return to 'Introspective'-era PSB, and got handed a warmed-over 'Nightlife'. I thought that this CD would've sounded more like the 2 new cuts on 'PopArt', but, apart from Minimal and Numb, none of the cuts on 'Fundamental' really found their way into my daily routine the way Flamboyant or Miracles did. Madonna's was the better dance album, Goldfrapp's, the better electronic album. I was just about to say that. Electronic/Dance should be separate categories. Stylistically, both have moved in different directions and really good discs get lost in the Grammys' lazy, umbrella shuffle.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Alison (or her publicist) was a little creative when divulging her age to the press. The article I read placed her age much closer to Madonna's than we were originally lead to believe. Of course as it's been over a year since I read that, I have no source for this gossip, and it's possible that it's just internet speculation... I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Supernature was a great album, but I also really liked Confessions as well. I would be happy if either one got the award honestly. Though Madonna has already had her fair share of awards, it would have been nice for Goldfrapp to get some recognition for a change.

I consider Release Neil Tennat's solo album!

actually I think, for the most part, the Grammys have dogged Madonna throughout her career.Almost everyone agrees that 'Like A Prayer' is a classic, yet the Grammys basically ignored it.I'm glad that she got a Best album Grammy for Confessions. It really is one of her best albums.

I was @ the Radio Soulwax Tour and they killed it, but their disc wasn't as ill as their shows -- "I Love Techno" and "E Talking" aside. The Knife would've been a good contender as I really felt "Marble House," "Neverland" and the title track. And the album had great moments like "One Hit." It was a very avant garde, experimental work and I give them an E for that. They pulled it off brilliantly. CSS, for me, came off as some "I'm-a-cool-kid,so-I'm'a-name-drop-this" record. Yes, my fashion kids over in Williamsburg were all over that shit, but nahh, G.frapp's album was still more consistent. I'd take Hot Chip's The Warning over CSS. Shittt, I'd take some Girl Talk or The Rapture's "Pieces..." if you're namedroppin hipster albums. lol IMO, The Presets' Beams, Kudu's Death of the Party, Lo-Fi-Fnk's Boylife, and Infadels' We Are Not The Infadels were my gems of the past year. But alas we're talking about mainstream U.S. records (two of the latter weren't even released in the U.S.) which sucks, I would've loved to have seen them stateside. ... [Edited 2/13/07 15:55pm]
