The FINAL ROUND of Bowie's "Hunky Dory" Survivor...She don't make false claims! [ROUND CLOSED] I guess I could've closed this round several days ago.
But the voting was surprisingly close. With only 2 more votes than "Changes", "Queen Bitch" is the one to go with 12 total votes. There still was only one vote for "Life On Mars?". I wonder who did that? j/k It's a bit surprising that QB lasted this long as some started to gang up on it as early as Round 3. So congrats to the little bitch for hangin' in there so long. By now, you know the drill. Here's what we've got left: Changes Life On Mars? *Vote for the one song you want voted off. Whichever song gets the least amount of votes wins this album survivor! And here's what was voted off so far: 3. Queen Bitch 4. Oh! You Pretty Things 5. Quicksand 6. Andy Warhol 7. Kooks 8. The Bewlay Brothers 10. Song For Bob Dylan (tie) 10. Eight Line Poem (tie) 11. Fill Your Heart The Queen Bitch herself... And some somewhat disappointing news.
I know that Anx, Stymie and I were planning on going to Bowie's Highline Festival later this year. Well he's announced that due to an ongoing project, he won't be able to perform at it. Not sure what this means, but my trip to New York hinged entirely on his performance. I won't be making the effort now. It's too bad because his appearance would've really drawn attention to the artists and musicians he's trying to spotlight. Oh well.

Again, if it was for the better song I'd vote off Life on Mars, but I'm going to vote off Changes because it doesn't really move me anymore. And Life on Mars is a truly great song, too. My Legacy

Oh well. don't ask me why, but i didn't have high hopes for his appearance at the festival this year. all the stuff i read on bowienet seemed really tentative and not quite enthusiastic enough. i'm disappointed, but not at all shocked by this. oh - and i'd replace "project" with "health", but that's just a hunch.

Fine. Pick on the new guy. Maybe I'll go to the Prince: Music and More forum and laugh at all the kids born after 'Purple Rain'.
