Paul Carrack I stopped at the store on the way home and while browsing the aisle what sounded like Eyes of Silver (Doobie Brothers) was playing over the in store sound system. The rhythm guitar figure lead me to believe that until I heard the vocal which didn't sound like Tom Johnston.
The groove/vocal/horns were more souled-Up than the Doobies tune. And the fact that the song included a nice B-3 solo at the end sealed the deal. The woman at the checkout stand had no clue what the tune was so I kept what I hoped was the title (based on the chorus) in my head until I got home. Turned out it was a tune called Ain't No Love... 
...from a 2003 release by Paul Carrack. Always liked his vocals through Ace/Squeeze/Mike & The Mechanics. Very soulful Englishman that i'll have to remember the next time a Blue-eyed Soul Brother thread comes up. tA  Tribal Disorder
