White Non-Rappers Rapping in the 80's

Name some songs by non rappers, so no Beasties or Jim McMahon's verse on SuperBowl Shuffle...

Help me create a Fresh playlist...Here's what I have so far

A ton of RHCP, when they were still cool
A ton of FNM, my favorite being We Care Alot...(that's the jump off)

Blondie - Rapture
Falco - Rock Me Amadeus
Captain Sensible - Wot
Wham - Young Guns
Anthrax - I'm The Man
Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood
.....

Vincent Price's part in "Thriller" is credited as a rap, but it's more of a poem with no particular rhythm.

Rhyming couplets does not a rap make.

Agreed; it's one of the worst things (if not the worst thing) that George Michael ever put his name to.

Red Angel Dragnet also has a rap feel, but it'd more reggae I guess. Tight track...

Rapture - Blondie (Sorry, saw that was listed above)
Native Love - Divine

These were pretty bad.

But I actually like Wordy Rappinghood by Tom Tom Club - it was so goofy that it was likable. When it came out, the club I went to actually had a hustle to it.

it's "rapping" in the old sense. a conversational or narrated part of a song.
