With Frances , a professional dancer , a few days before they seperated .  
Cicely Tyson . 
He told in his auto-biography ( written by Quincy Throupe ) to have had a major crush with Paris and Juliette Greco . He received so much more recognition in France during that time , than in the US . He had a hard time leaving Paris .

Frances was also on the cover of"At the Blackhawk". On both occasions he beat the shit out of her soon after the pictures were taken.
He had an affair with Juliette Greco, but she dumped him because he swung both ways. I think he married Cicely Tyson once, but was involved with her again in later years. A bit like Marvin Gaye who reignited relationships with both his ex-wives shortly before his death. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. i have enjoyed it so far .... it is really just gettin to the juicy stuff ... where he is beginning to get a name .... etc ... never realized much about this man ... drugs ... how he really was not a name at first (in charlie parkers band- just a so so trumpeter ) --- i wanted his audiobiography - however i couldnt find it ....(when i spur of the moment wanted to read something lol) | |

Did you see Frances's interview from Ken Burn's docu-film Jazz? He nearly stomped his foot up her ass when she made a complimentary comment about Quincy Jones. | |
