Sergio Mendes - Timeless

I've been listening to this album all day, I'm really lovin' it!

Considering I had never heard of Sergio's name being mentioned once in my entire life until this year, it's definitely an eye-opener to hear some of his playing and arrangements go so well with some of today's contemporary recording artists. Even though I had already heard "Mas Que Nada" a few years back, hearing it again recently made me want to go ahead and listen to the album, only remembering a few tidbits I read earlier in the year.

When I heard everything else, I was pleasantly surprised. I had no clue what to expect, so I must say I'm glad I decided to take a listen to the album. Having never listened to alot of samba or Brazilian music, my ears are definitely open for some now.

I got an album to chill to, now!

cool music music woot!

A friend of mine who sadly passed away too young saw him perform years back on the same festival and the roof went skyhigh during that show. After the gig their was a sign-session and that friend had great chat with Sergio and the bandmembers .

Glad to hear that he's the type to sit and have a chat with his fans. I'll have to keep watch now incase he's ever near. I'm sure your friend loved every minute of it!
