Anybody into Kid Creole and the Coconuts? He was pretty good, back in the day. I heard his band did a pretty powerful show; all the pomp and horns and dancing girls--real vegas type shit. He was kinda like a Latin Prince, in a way. He did a hybrid of funk, pop, latin, jazz, and the like. Does anyone know if the guy is still any good?

Endicott's up by 5 o'clock Endicott's givin' it all he got Endicott's job is 6 to 9 but Endicott's home by 9:05 Still around and putting on the really big shew (think Ed Sullivan)...

Endicott Male Curiosity Annie, I'm not your Daddy Stool Pigeon The Sex of It They were great. BET used to (so many of our threads bear that phrase) profile August Darnell and his motley crue. I forget the name of the show. Video LP, I think. | |

I liked Endicott & Male Curiousity... basically the songs they had videos for

...Kid Creole was living in Germany for a while...he had a lead in some musical on the "broadway-ish" part of the Reeperbahn strip...he was still in character though, so I don't know if it was based around his CC & TC act or what...it was popular, though... ...."I'm a wonderful theeeng, ba-bay..."  | |

When Prince created the Morris Day character,he had to have been inspired by Kid Creole.The baggies,the zoot suits,the ego....Morris Day took this concept and came up with his own persona. | |
