Frankie Cutlass :: Politics & Bulls**t (1997) hehe, how was that cd! I slept on it when it came out. This was a really cool CD. It was the farewell album for the Relativity Records label. Lots of jams on here like "The Cypher: Part III" (with a reunited Juice Crew + Heltah Skeltah), "Focus" (Lost Boyz + M.O.P.) and the now-classic break "Black People, Puerto Rico." H-O-T. It's worth checking out in a used bin.

I've actually seen it in a used bin and I didn't get it that day, but I will next time!

I still can't believe a dance song was made out of that loop. I think that's clever, slick and quasi-blasphemous all at the same time. That's the beauty of pop sometimes.

Of course, I knew a lot of their songs from the radio and it always reminds me of growing up in the 70s, but I never looked beyond that until now. In fact, I'm going to start a thread about what Fleetwood Mac books there are out there. I'd like to read more about them.
