Duran Duran's Big Thing Appreciation Thread

Hang it up Hanging out Hanging on a big thing dancing jig

One of the forgotten albums of Duran Duran...certainly under rated compared to the rest in their catalog. I musta played this tape a billion times! Off of the Wildly popular Notorious, Big Thing came along with it's mixture of house beats and haunting melodies. It was a mixed bag, as this was the 2nd offering since they slimmed down to 3.

The album only lauded 3 singles...the Big Hit I don't want your love, the Minor minimalistic cut of All SHe Wants is....to the sleeper (yet fan favorite) Do you believe in Shame. This latter song really was the "sound" for most of the album, even though the 2 previous singles hinted at something else. IMO, the stronger cuts were the ones NOT released, like Land, Palomino, and Too Late Marlene...which is a bit unusual as Duran DUran's best music normally was what they released as singles.

Anyhoo, I busted out this album today and am totally enjoying it all over again.
