Flaming Sideburns, Eternal Erection & The Rasmus

I just heard of these bands from Finland. Anyone know if they're worth a listen? Any suggestions on albums? Any info would be appreciated. smile

Eternal Erection opened up for George Clinton once. They're actually pretty good, if you like that sort of thing.

The Rasmus is kiddie pop, not worth even spitting on.

Flaming Sideburns is best of the pack (old fashioned rock'n'roll), but there are still far superior Finnish bands out there.

I'll give them a shot, then...with the exception of The Rasmus. smile What other Finnish rock bands would you suggest?

The underground electronic stuff is the best: OP:l Bastards, The Elevators, Chainsmoker and Essence wich is a smoof lounge band. Tons of others, And don't forget about Jimi Tenor either, though he's really... ahm, potty.

Of course a lot of the best bands don't sing in English so the spectrum is kind of limited... but as for the mainstream acts - HIM is as good as it gets for goth (and if you want your Hanoi Rocks, mixed with Michael Jackson, Nick Cave, and Type O' Negative then it's a sure bet), The Crash is as amazing britrock band as it gets (they're actually more british than the brits themselves!) and Manboy sounds a bit like Manic Street Preachers or Mansun, but isn't shit. A few others but it's hard for me to tell because I haven't lived here in years. Moved back last year.

But stick with the less mainstream acts like Flaming Sidebuns though. The Strokes, who?
