Some of ya'll might appreciate the broadway album with Stephanie Mills, but this I love this more. Besides some great vocals, I think this is some of Quincy Jones' best work. Poppy Girls is funky. Nipsy's soulful "What Would I Do If I Could Feel?" is great and Diana sings the HELL out of "Home". One of my most favorite songs by her. All in all, this is a FANTASTIC album.

The music's much better than the movie.

And doesn't Luther sing background vocals on this?

The whole joint is awesome (except Lena Hornes overwrought Believe In Yourself imo)

Poppy Girls is funky.

It sort of reminds me of Sanford & Son theme. You can hear Quincy all over Poppys.

I LOVEW THIS soundtrack. I had the double album as a kid, it came with a pull out booklet with the lyrics and production notes and all kind of behind the scenes stuff.

I grabbed the cd as soon as it became available cuz this Quincy production is funky!

LOVE IT I put "Be A Lion" & Lena's "Believe" on repeat. Poppy Girls is my shit too, of course You Can't Win, even Slide Some Oil To Me - so many memories, I love that shit

Have yu heard the extended verion of You Can't Win? It's on the MJ Ultimate Box Set, the song continues and goes into the can't get out of the game chant. It was also the prototype for the B-side "Can't Get Out of The Rain" on the Thriller single.
