Their video for "Nth Degree" is very cool. I've seen them live twice now. I'm going for the hat trick next week when they open for The Sounds.

they haven't made it to Europe yet I guess.....are they worth checking out live? They seem an energetic fun-band to watch!

Live is how they won me over! I arrived too early for a Raveonettes show last year and Morningwood was the opening act. I had never heard of them before, but after their set, I was an instant fan. "Fun" is the perfect word to descibe their shows. Every time they perform their song "Take Off Your Clothes", they invite someone from the audience (man or woman) to come onstage and strip.

There is also a video for "Jetsetter".

I felt kinda letdown by their cd. Their singles are great, but the album is only so-so. Still, girls fronting rock bands is always cool.

The CD is FUN.

Everybody Rules
Jetsetter
Easy
Babysitter
Body 21
New York Girls
Nth Degree

All cool. Only problem I have is the mixing of "Everybody Rules" and "Nth Degree." The album versions are overproduced, the only way I can properly listen to them is by turning off my left speaker or playing those tunes in mono -- just so I don't have to hear all that slick sparkle drowning out the bridges and hooks.

The last time I saw them, they had a lot of Suicide Girls onstage stripping for the big finale. Chantal loves seeing people take their clothes off.

What does their setlist usually consist of? Do they do any cover songs?

I don't remember them doing any covers in the past. I'm seeing them again tonight. I'll let you know if there are any surprises.

Great show last night. Morningwood wasn't the headlining act though (they were opening for Swedish band The Sounds) so their set was naturally shorter than usual. The did about nine songs, the only one not from their self titled album being "Why Do Girls Like Horses". The highlight was when Chantal came down into the crowd and asked various poeple to sing the chorus to "Nth Degree". Lucky me got to sing the very last one.
