Me too - if I can pick just one

"Revolver" is my pick, with "Rubber Soul" and "Sgt. Pepper's..." next in line. "She made me glad to be a man"

Damn, this is pretty hard. I can easily pick 4, but I'm having a hard time deciding. I love "Sgt. Pepper's", "Abbey Road", "Magical Mystery Tour", and "Revolver", but I think if I have to choose one, I'll go with "Revolver". The whole thing is great, but "Eleanor Rigby" is what made it my pick.

I can't choose. I never can. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Revolver to me is like Purple Rain--jam packed with hits. I prefer Sgt Pepper.

I think Revolver and Sgt Pepper have the most relevance in terms out changing music.. etc.. and all that..
BUT Musically, The White Album contains the most raw, dark, and emotional skull of music i've ever heard.. perfect document of how each of the four are musically.. its perfect.

Honey Pie makes me ill. As do 'Wild Honey Pie', 'Savoy Truffle', 'Piggies', 'Good Night', and 'Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da' to me. I consider it an excellent album, but it's funny to think that I actively dislike at least 6 cuts on it. Actually, I've gotta say that there is usually at least one clunker on each Beatles album for me: 'Good Morning, Good Morning' and 'Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite' on Sgt. Pepper, 'Maxwell' on Abbey Road, 'For You, Blue' on Let it Be... This leaves Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour and Rubber Soul as the most consistent, although my favorite would probably be Abbey Road or White Album. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

I think the reason its like that is due to the weight of the "best" songs on the album.. because I feel simular to things like "Honey pie" and such.. I give it points for creativity.. but its the overall feel of the album that ranks so high with me.. Its like an eclectic mess that actually works.. or you could say its the best set of demo's ever ![]()

ok top 5:
1. Abbey Road: The Beatles sound like a real band and not like a 4 genious in a race. 2. Sargeant Pepper´s: Historical reasons. 3. Rubber Soul: the essential groundbreaking album by the Beatles 4. Magical Mistery Tour: the best pop album ever? 5. Revolver: close to the best pop album ever. "Todo está bien chévere" Stevie

Got any suggestions > ![]() The White Album is THE best Beatle album ever! This might sound crazy, but The Beatle were their best when all 4 members started to have differences of opinions (and each songs show THAT point easily).

I think Sgt. Pepper is their greatest. It's a seamless blend of diverse music & instrumentation, years ahead of it's time. The songs are top notch. Two of John Lennon's best songs ever--Lucy in the Sky & A Day in the Life--are worth the price alone.
Revolver is the hip choice nowadays, but I don't see that as an album so much as a great collection of songs (maybe their best). The same could be said of the White Album. Sgt Pepper is a cohesive album, a visual style, a concept, a whole universe in and of itself. But the most perfectly crafted album they ever made was Abbey Road. It's just not quite as groundbreaking as Sgt. Pepper, Revolver, White Album. More conventional rock & roll, but it sounds less dated than any of them The whole first half through Here Comes the Sun is classic hits. The second half is what makes it truly special, though. The meaningless but amazing flow of one song right into the next has never been done better than Abbey Road side 2. My Legacy

abbey road or revolver are cohesive... sgt pepper is too spicy! but Day in the Life is worth a whole album...

It sounds like a compilation, not an album ala Sgt Pepper or Abbey Road. In fact it is a compilation of songs from the film (side 1) and various singles (side 2). Again, not putting down the material, but if you're talking about an album, you gotta judge it as one single piece of music. Otherwise we could just pick a greatest hits package. My Legacy
