the attitude of mj and how it makes u feel.

for some reason, i have noticed the reactions of the fans of mj; the reactions to mj when his picture, video, song is on is very similar. ppl. start smiling and get very happy. whenever i see him, i am like: oh hello michael! how are you? wb! and i can not stop being happy. in school, i once showed some strangers a picture i had of mj; all the kids started smiling and said yay mj!!! and did thumbs-up!!! in the commercials mj did, he has a strange smile and look in his eye that makes him seem so warm and kind. ya know thugs and very bad ppl. get happy to see mj even though they would most likely beat up anybody who looks like him. why is that?! what is ur reaction to seeing mj and why? how did mj built up his fan base and kept it so strong? invincible sold 7-8 million copies w/ lack-luster promation!!! why? image is everything now; then how come mj has been able to sell so much?? mj has been able to stay so cool"bad" somehow! why? what did he do? my teacher acted like a teenager and he was like mj is so bad, mj is still bad and started basically jumping up and down. despite his surgeries, etc.; mj has such a hard-core fan base and can a lot. what does mj make u feel? why? how come? how come other aritsts such as janet don't have a similar reaction? thanks.

say what u must.

either way, mj does seem to have the support of his fans and it's a question as to how he obtained and contained those fans. how does he treat them? what kind of relationship does he have with them?

Get a life somewhere else! Why would I care to even mention Michael Jackson? ... Nothing against him, but this is prince.org. That would be as silly as talking about the attitude of Frank Sinatra and how it makes people feel. It's aaight if you are a MJ fan, but surely there are better places to be -don't you think?

This is crazy. If you like Michael Jackson, I bet there are hundreds and hundreds of better sites all over the net to discuss that type of matters. I know he's been mentioned before, even some topics seem to have MJ on the subject, but I guess that was probably hot news about industry, etc. And nevermind, still no reason to be a MJ wanker in here. Come on, dude and try google for instance wink Surely you could get a MJ fan convention somewhere out there!. Good luck.

So why don't you help her to learn about P and stop sending her abusive Orgnotes -- or ignore her?

Look, me 2 i like mj's music and even post from time 2 time onhere about him.And this is indeed the non-prince music forum. Nevertheless i think it would b wise not 2 over-post about mj, or any other artist that is, especially when u'r asking a question or making a statement that fits perfectly in one of the already xisting threads. I'm sure other people on the .org r interested in mj and there4 it's good there can b posts and discussions about him, and all the haters who cannot have that should stick 2 the proper forums. Nevertheless it would b wise 2 start threads only when there is something newsworthy or constructive 2 communicate. Most people who couldn't care less about mj will tolerate and support u'r posting about him, but when u xaggerate this might bcome abusive and tolerance and support will disappear. So enjoy u'r freedom in here, but rmmbr that it ends where other peoples freedom begins.

MJ was a major phenomenon for many of us growing up, right up there with Prince. So he's a little kooky, aren't we all?

I'm glad he's taking on Sony, and I have a feeling there may be some truth to what he's saying. MJ generally keeps to himself and has not been known to spout off like this, so something major must have happened. Its one thing to be dissapointed with the sales of your album, but I think something greater happened that led him to make those comments.

Lets not get picky about whos slamming the record companies. I think its exciting what has been happening the past few years with everyone from Prince to Courtney Love to the Dixie Chicks...Stay tuned...

Unfortunately, it's been a very long time since MJ made me smile. Over the last few years, he's given me the impression of feeling sorry for himself and suffering from arrested development. For instance, his teary speach about parenthood was too much for me... A man of over forty should not be blaming his father publicly... not after all the time he's had to deal with whatever abuse he suffered. Privately, ok, but publicly, it just gives the impression that MJ still feels like a vulnerable little boy (this is very, very common among child molesters, btw) who did not have time to come to terms with what happened. If that,s how he truly feels, then his problems are deeper than anyone can imagine.

The latest salvo in his War on Tony also has a childish tone to it... Like Tony Mattala isn't just "devilish", he's "very, very devilish". I think MJ is in shock and is traumatized (once again) by the whole thing, and doesn't even acknowledge his own responsibility. No one forced him to spend over 30 million dollars in production for Invincible. That happened because MJ had decided to go for broke and inflate his persona, like many wounded people do. To recoup a 30 million dollars record, he would have had to sell more record than he's sold since Bad, if not Thriller. 25 million dollars in promotion was hardly a lacklustre investment from Sony's part.

Enough of this Peter Pan thing...

It's not every day Al Sharpton accuses someone of playing the race card. MJ is shooting himself in the foot so often he's got no foot to blow anymore.

JACKO GOT OFF-TRACKO,
REV. AL SAYS

By JEANE MacINTOSH
---

DISS-PUTED:
The Rev. Al Sharpton says Sony honcho Tommy Mottola is no racist.

July 8, 2002 -- The Rev. Al Sharpton yesterday said Wacko Jacko's bizarre attack on Tommy Mottola was unfair and unfounded, and called the Sony honcho a staunch supporter of black artists.
"I have known Tommy for 15 or 20 years, and never once have I known him to say or do anything that would be considered racist," Sharpton said.

An uneasy Sharpton admitted he was "taken aback and surprised" by the verbal assault, which started during a press conference with the rotund reverend and lasted throughout the Gloved One's crosstown tour on Saturday.

"In fact, he's always been supportive of the black music industry," Sharpton said. "He was the first record executive to step up and offer to help us with respect to corporate accountability, when it comes to black music issues."

At times during his anti-Mottola diatribe, Jackson held up posters of Mottola with horns, and called him "devilish." He also accused Mottola of describing another black artist with a racial slur.

Sharpton said he was "inundated" with calls yesterday from top African-American artists and producers furious over Jackson's nasty personal attack on the Sony heavyweight.

"To call Tommy Mottola a racist is just ridiculous - he's one of the biggest supporters of black music I know," said producer Steve Stout, one of several angry black execs who rang Sharpton.

Sharpton stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Jackson at the reverend's Harlem headquarters Saturday, getting a big smooch from the one-time King of Pop as he started his crosstown tour to denounce Mottola and Sony.

Along his Harlem-East Village-Midtown route, Jackson also lashed out at the industry at large, saying execs "really do conspire against black artists."

"I didn't know that Michael planned to personally attack Tommy - but nobody tells Michael Jackson what to do," Sharpton said, adding that he "stands firmly behind" Jackson's view on the industry overall.

The Jackson spectacle was timed to coincide with Sharpton's big racism-in-music "summit" tomorrow. Sharpton says he intends to keep "Michael's personal issues with Tommy" separate from the "broader industry issues" at the meeting.

But Jackson's personal swipes may have torpedoed any constructive developments, as black artists line up to defend the Sony boss.

"Michael Jackson playing the race card is a cop-out - a last-resort move by a guy who is frustrated that his big project didn't work," said Courey Rooney, the African-American producer of Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child and Marc Anthony.

As a kid, Rooney said, he "idolized Jackson" and worked on part of Jackson's failed "Invincible" album - the record at the heart of Jackson's beef with Sony. The record company poured $60 million into producing and promoting it, but Jackson contends the company didn't back him enough.

Rooney believes Michael Jackson's checkered past - especially his pedophilia charges - played a huge role in the record's lousy sales.

This is a discussion thread and my posts are certainly about "the attitude of mj and how it makes u feel".

I'll respond to it any which way I feel is appropriate and does not violate anyone's rights or TOS, so deal with it.
