Thoughts on a new Imminent Starvation album.

I think the approach should be that he's still Imminent Starvation. Or actually not, since he did change his name into just plain Imminent, but you get the point. I can't remember, it's been ages since the last one. I think it should have IDM-ish beats with solid use of distortion all throughout. That always worked very well, and was always the backbone for the better half of his work. Mainly "Nord". Altough it would be quite nice if he re-introduced his groaning vocals on at least one of the tracks, but then again he might be entering the same territory now occupied mostly by Morgenstern. And leave the all-out ambient tracks to Ambre, if I want Imminent Starvation do ambient I'll listen to Ambre. It definitely should be clearly categorizeable as classic Powernoise, that's Imminent Starvation's true self. I think the album, if there is one, will do good. At least it will sell in the same territory of 2000-3000 copies as any other Imminent Starvation album to date has. Do you care? You so do not, so keep reading. The Incredible Three sideprojects were quite a lot of fun, maybe he could introduce some of that vibe to his own solo projects too. You know cowboys - French cowboys. I do not want to come up with the obvious connotations of Brokeback Mountain, but it's there in case you wanna read into it. I don't think his own kids should appear on the album, giving kids distortion boxes and making them attach them to their drum machines is not going to make terribly interesting hearing. But make sure it comes on a CD too, cause my vinyl player broke down and I need to be able to liztan to the wreackors I buy. The album should have five collectible covers: one in standard white, one in yellow, one in red, one in green and one in dark blue. The picture should have the members of Synapscape looking like emasculated elves on it.

I think the message is clear:

AS LONG AS YOU FOLKS KEEP ON POSTING YET ANOTHER POINTLESS MICHAEL JACKSON THREAD AFTER YET ANOTHER POINTLESS MICHAEL JACKSON THREAD, I WILL HIT YOU BACK WITH A SIMILIAR ONE ON IMMINENT STARVATION OR ANY OTHER POWERNOISE ACT OF MY CHOICE

So you have been warned. Now, you can lock it mods if you want to. smile
