chris brown... I would like my orgers opinions about this young man...my daughter is mad crazaaaay  for this boy...I don't know much about him, is his album worth purchasing??? I can't keep up with all these newbies that appear. But hey this guy is diverting her from URSHER so he must be cool..what's ur opinion?

He's a decent vocalist. Another cat in line for the Usher throne. I don't care much for "Run It" but "Ya Man Ain't Me" has a tight ass bass line and a solid groove. "What's My Name" is aight, too. He's got potential. He's young. Give him time. He's got a couple of interesting vocal arrangements on a couple of songs. He can't hold a candle to Bobby Valentino, though. Perhaps "decent" was a slight overstatement in Chris's case but he's a kid so I cut him some slack. He is exactly what his target audience wants him to be - the next Usher. With proper training and grooming he could be more but with the way record companies roll these days, its not likely they'll support him long enough for him to develop that far. | |

It's not so much that he's bad but that he's indistinguishable from so many others. I've heard Ya Man Ain't Me and heard Run It last night on Dick Clark's new year's eve show. If his voice matures and (as at least 2 others have said) he takes the nasal tone out of his singing he could be okay. This latter problem seems to be common in young pop/R&B singers in the past 15 years or so. It's a problem of inexperience that is correctable. He dances okay, but overall there's really nothing to separate him from the pack. | |

He's an okay singer and he did some kick ass dancing in his latest video. Kind of remind me of the "Cool it Now" video by New Edition, but more updated with really cool dance moves. | |
