EXCLUSIVE: Michael Jackson -- Debbie Rowe files abduction papers in court

Maybe my favorite singer won't return to the US anytime soon....but it looks like his kids might have to, thanks to his ex-wife:

Debbie Rowe files abduction papers in court
By TMZ.COM STAFF

(Dec. 20) -- A secret hearing was held Monday near Palm Springs, Calif., in which Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson's former wife and the mother of two of his children, filed legal papers accusing the singer of abducting the children.

Rowe has filed a custody suit against Jackson, which has been removed from the courts and handled through private arbitration.

TMZ was present for the hearing. Before it began, TMZ producer Patti Bartos-Fellows was shown a legal document entitled "Children Returned to US; Surrender Passports and Child Abduction Order." This document was filed by Rowe, requesting that the judge sign an order requiring Jackson to return the children to the United States.

TMZ has confirmed through sources that Rowe is going full force in her custody battle, arguing that Jackson underhandedly took the children to Bahrain to thwart her effort to obtain custody. We're told Rowe is concerned for the children's safety and that she has been denied contact with them.

Jackson had been paying Rowe a hefty annuity until last year when he cut her off for allegedly violating their confidentiality agreement, a move she is currently contesting in court.

Rowe surprised many people, including prosecutors, at Jackson's child molestation trial earlier this year by taking the stand and praising her ex. This led some observers to wonder if her testimony would pave the way for a settlement between the two. That clearly did not happen.

Before the proceedings began, both sides vigorously objected to TMZ's presence in the hearing room and Judge Lachs asked producer Bartos-Fellows to leave. The Judge did not rule on the abduction motion.

He probably figures she's an unfit mother. her womb was for hire. sounds harsh but it's the truth.

Actually in a Michael bio I read that Lisa Marie once said to Michael he is "very selfish." He got really upset by that. I think as much as I don't want to say one of his ex wives was right, I think she was.

I think Michael has a very limited view of the world. I mean sure he can see the world through interesting eyes. (I don't care who you are - I doubt you percieve things the way Michael does. Yes there are some fans that try to, but none probably really do.)

I think Michael doesn't see it through Debbie's eyes that she wants to see the kids. He probably views the kids as "his." And since he is "selfish" (For lack of a better word) he won't accept the fact that she might have a right to see them. He sees the way the world is, as his way and the right way being one and the same.

Maybe one day he will be more understanding and "non-selfish."
Just my two cents..

It's something how everything seems to be Michael Jackson's fault, well lets flip the script.

Didn't she leave her kids in the first place?
Didn't she sign the contract(CA), and accept money not to see them?
Even if Michael said leave, why didn't she fight for custody in the beginning?
Why didn't she testify that the kids were in dangerous at his criminal trial?

It's a woman's perogative and duty to stay her ass with her kids. I've heard of father's running away, but mothers, that's a fuckin sin

I thought the agreement was that he would have physical custody and she could see the kids whenever she wanted. That's what he said in interviews. It appears, according to her, he refused to let her see the kids when he told her she could see them whenever she wanted

I don't understand why people put more emphasis on the mother and not the father. They are equal

She never "ran away." And even if she did or whatever agreement they supposedly had, she's attempting to do the right thing now, as you are accusing her of being laxed in.

I'm accusing her of not fighting hard enough for them from the beginning, hell at least joint custody.

You may be tired of it..but it won't ever quit. People will always believe what they want. For every one person who hates Michael's guts, one will adore him for one reason or another. I'm a fan of Michael's dispite this whole custody bs. I think it is his business and not our's.

However if I am going to "blame" someone..I blame Debbie more. I seriously doubt Michael's handlers/or Michael himself held Debbie at gunpoint and said "give me children." I think she wanted a touch of the celebrity life as much as he wanted to be a single parent. Now when her celebrity is fading, she wants to have the kids. It wouldn't shock me if she wanted to make money off them. (IE - Having them on TV shows and in photos, etc.) I'm not accusing her of it - I'm just saying, I wouldn't put it past her. This woman was going to sell her wedding ring on Ebay!!!! Come on!!!!! How sad and lame is that..pissed

She knew what she was getting into with Michael when she was carrying his baby and she should have thought about that. reading If she knew him as well as she claimed, she would have known he is very into himself and does not really care to hear other POVs.

Lisa Marie was smart to not want kids with Michael. He probably is a great Dad to those kids. (Maybe that is wishful thinking but I'll cling to it dispite the holding your kid over the balcony bs.) Debbie needs to move the fuck on already. Find a man and have more kids. Cus I seriously doubt she will gets Michael's kids back.

As Michael's Mom said, "Those are Michael's kids." I would think they have a better chance of ending up with Jermaine then Debbie.

Oh I know it's true...and even I believe he can't cope. But I don't use that excuse to defend his actions.

You do know what they do with folks that can't cope with real life right? Why should MJ be spared therapy? If anyone needs it...it's him. I'm just surprised that he doesn't see his troubles and blames everyone around him for them...when he's is pretty much the main cause in one way or another for his grief. Why can't he just say "Yeah I'm pretty messed up...I need help!" Well not in that way. But it is sheer superstar pride that won't allow himself to see that he does need help. Even in this mess...he didn't HAVE to go about children like he did or marriage like he did (both very very wierd). You say it's Debbie to blame...I say it's Mike.

Well, thank Harvey Levin and TMZ for this "nightmarish soap opera", whatever the hell that means. This is suppose to be a private matter that got leaked to the public. Just like the custody issue with other celebrities are private, like that Baldwin guy and Kim Basinger is private, so is this, but because it involves Michael Jackson, it has to be released to the public and blown up to some big time drama.

His websites keep saying "it is coming" but I think the truth is..it isn't. Save your ten dollars for Michael's next album, which probably won't come out for 2-4 years years at this pace. I think this chairity project stalled more then "What More Can I Give" did.

I'm not saying they probably weren't both great jams with great intentions, but I think the celebrities of today are too worried about making $ and themselves. People like Billy Joel and Ray Charles and hell even Prince dontated a song to the We Are The World Album. Now all the popstars have this attitude of "I'm untouchable. I'm too good for a chairty song with Michael Jackson, or anyone else unless it is my own." Wah Wah wah..

I heard a while back Usher asked Prince and Michael to join him for a concert. nuts That guy has got to be nuts if he thinks he is on the level of MJ and Prince. hahahahahaha

+++So there are 2 songs? I thought "what more can I give" was the charity single.

Now all the popstars have this attitude of "I'm untouchable. I'm too good for a chairty song with Michael Jackson, or anyone else unless it is my own." Wah Wah wah..
+++I disagree. I think everyone wanted to do something in thier heart of heart based on what was happening. It just seems that instead of donating money folks do a "charity" single so WE can shell out the bucks while their name gets the glory. The only real charity single I see is Prince's as it came out the weekend of the disaster and with hardly any fanfare. And singers artist not wanting to work with MJ had nothing to do with "I'm too good for MJ" More so, to do something with him is almost career suicide. And there was a charity single that had almost everyone participate...just about everyone MJ was to have on his single.

I heard a while back Usher asked Prince and Michael to join him for a concert. nuts That guy has got to be nuts if he thinks he is on the level of MJ and Prince. hahahahahaha
+++why is that crazy? I agree with you, however he is as popular now as they were in thier hey day...even though much less talented.

Usher is just a set of black abs with a bunch of teen girls who have not experienced Michael Jackson's dancing and singing, and Prince's slow jams. Get real. Not to diss Usher but.. ill feeling ill ill
