Touch it By Monifah?!

I just saw this video last night and the song is hot! It's very electro. Sounds like Vanity 6. Who is she and is all of her stuff like this? If so, I must get this!

Funny. I was listening to this song on Friday and considered a thread on it. smile No, this is no indicator of what the rest of her material is like. Most of it is not this risque. The album it's culled from (can't recall the name at the moment) is good, but this is surely the highlight of it. Though I love the song, it owes a lot of its success (as a song and a hit) to the sample of Laid Back's White Horse.

That song is HOT. I never get tired of hearing it. It made me LOVE the song White Horse. Too funky.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Nope. I didn't say it's the only good song. smile I said Touch It was the best track on it and that the rest of the album isn't like that track. Bad Girl and Better Half of Me are good, and Have You Ever Been Loved is a really pretty song.

I have all three of her albums....I thought she had a nice voice...one of my favorite songs off Mo'hogany was Falling in love which featured Queen Latifah singing on it as well doing the break down and backing vocals.
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

Not sure about the rest of the world, but this song was huge in Detroit and still gets played ever so often. The "White Horse" sample is very good...who would have known it would work so well, although I think Dannii uses it on a track for "Neon Nights"....I've heard it (or something similar) used here and there since then.

3/5. Like Boriqua said, she's got a good voice. If you like the track, I'd get the album, maybe used since you're chancing it.

I like "I Can Tell". That is one of my favorites by her. That video for that song was off the hook also. It used to be in rotation on Midnight Love around 2000ish.
Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
