Keane - Best new artist

Like them, but their cd came out in May 2004?

Paul McCartney? Would have rather seen Beck - Quero up in the major categories

Just a weak year in music when the highlights are the Mariah and Kanye cds. Props to them but the BEST is never the best. neutral

I love Paul McCartney and I am a huge fan, but I find his nominations to be puzzling. His recent album is no better or worse than his last 2 or 3 releases. In fact, I think "Flaming Pie" is much better.

Is this some sort of strange sympathy nomination?

I would think U2 wins for album of the year.... That was an amazing record.

huh. my take is totally opposite. 'chaos and creation' is the first thing i've heard from paul in AGES that i've liked. meanwhile, i thought U2's last album was a dreadful bore (and yes, i know i'm in an extreme minority - can't help it).

Common was rightly recognized many times.

Why Pitty Gent and The Wack Eyed Peas were nominated so many times I'll never know.

Beck got dissed.
