80s groove pick today - Roy Ayers "Poo Poo La La" just heard this song again on an old mix tape and just had to start a thread on it.. one of his more popular grooves coming from "In The Dark" 1984, his first and very excellent album on CBS after leaving Polydor. the album had cracks like Stanley Clarke, Grover Washington Jr, Tom Browne etc.
he's rappin' and telling his thang over some tight but relaxed beat with risky lyrics, impssible to escape that one... also he was intoducing young vocalist Miki Howard to the world. when her angel vocals comes in, the song reaches his climax and I'm in heaven L.U.V.E.R.L.Y. Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Take all the time you need (with Ubiquity), and Get on up ( I think this is the name of the song well it came out in 78).
