What songs do you like better from Kool & the Gang. The ones from the 70's or the 80's

I like a good portion of Kool& the Gangs music. Is there anyone out there that think their songs from 70's is better or the ones from the 80'? Me I like some of both.
The ones from the 70's I like is Hollywood Swingin,Wild & Peaceful, Light of Worlds, Whiting H&G Summer Maddness, Hangin out and Ladies Night.

The 80's:
Joanna
Cherish
As one
Get Down on It
Tonight
Rollin
Steppin out.

1970s, no doubt about it. They had some cool grooves in the 80s, but nothing as cool as their 70s output.

Seem like after J.T left the group Kool & the Gang had no more popularity.
I had Sweat, Unite , and State of Affairs and Sweat was okay,Unite had 2 songs I like but Stae of Affairs was not so hot. I heard some of "Gangland" on the computer and it sucked sad . I did not long their 70's stuff at first. But then when I listened to "Hollywood Swinging" I was like that is the bomb. When I got older i started to listened to "Jungle Boogie ,Summer Madness, and their other stuff from 1970 to 1979 , their songs started to grow on me. Oh and Rated X is nice too.

Yeah,it was sad when JT left the band in 1987.I bought the last album that he appeared on,1986's 'Forever' (featuring the hits "Victory" and "Stone Love"),but I didn't buy anything after that.Considering he's such a great vocalist,it's surprising that his solo career never really took off.

The late 70s and early 80s. Songs like "Joanna" are the ones I don't like.
