Beck Guero Remix Record Tracklist Revealed
Kati Llewellyn reports: Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat... like the tracklist for the Beck remix record! As previously reported, the disc collects versions of every track on the funky white boy’s latest, Guero, with even the cover artwork being reimagined by cover artist Marcel Dzama. It’s called Guerolito and will drop December 13. Notable remixers include Air, Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys, John King of the Dust Brothers, El-P, Boards of Canada and two ex-Unicorns-related projects: Islands and Th' Corn Gangg. At the end of it all comes the Beck rarity "Clap Hands", which debuted on the Guero collector's edition CD/DVD. oops, sorry...i remember sldawn posting about some beck remix stuff at iTunes, but i didn't remember anything about an actual new CD with new marcel dzama cover art. as a fan of both beck and dzama, i'd at least HOPE i'd remember reading that!

anyway, looking forward to this. were you the one who got himself a copy of the limited edition when the original Guero was released? I seem to remember that you did? i'm going to try to lay my hands on a copy of that first, once i manage to put some money aside for cd's again. it sounded like a real good buy back when you posted a review about it. | |

Are the remixes on the limited edition different then the remixes on the upcoming remix edition? I don't have any of them yet so I'm wondering will the standard Guero plus the remix Guero cover everything or do I need the special edition with the remix Guero to cover everything? I'm looking at it as a great double cd so I can't wait until December. | |

It looks like the Guero remix will have
3 of the songs from the Guero special edition. 4 of the songs from Guero special edition are not included on the Guero remix. | |

I couldn't wait for the remixes - I ordered a copy of Guero Special Edition.
I'll just be breaking in that cd when the remixes are released. Looks like the next 2 months are dedicated to Beck music. | |

I've only put that DVD in ONCE. I guess I should give it some more love... that's ok...i've only played it a few times myself...well, i gave the 'black tambourine video' a LOT of spins, but the rest of it not so much. i hear there's a lot of fiddling around you can do with those screensaver jobbies if you play with your angle buttons on the remote to your DVD player.  | |
