Just picked up a copy of the New Simple Minds disc, which actually was supposed to be issued in the USA on September 13, but as of right now wont be till sometime in 2006. I have always been a fan of Simple Minds, they always deliver solid work, though i know the Usa dismissed them a long time ago it was bands like them and others (u2, inxs, depeche, tears, a-ha, duran etc) made the 80's the greatest decade for turning out solid bands. I know some people figure why should they continue, but i mean 25 years later the band still delivers, whats coming out now that will still be around in 25 years???

As far as the New CD, yet another solid effort from the band, it continues along the same path of their last CD "cry" from 2002. Best tracks "Stay Visible" just a great Building track, very 80's with Better Production, the First single in the UK "HOME" yet another winner and best on the title track "Black and White" once again find Simple Minds going back to their Political roots, long before U2 did it.

Its really shaping up to be a great 2005 though it was a Horrible start.
