Donald Passman doesn’t seem to think I’m very funny. He’s apparently an attorney representing Janet Jackson and he wrote me this email:
"It has come to our attention that on your website … you have posted an unauthorized videotape purporting to be Janet Jackson sunbathing in the nude, shot through a fence. Your website boasts that this was footage was shot by a paparazzi. You go on to disparage Ms. Jackson as a "tubby crumb-covered mess."
I hope all of you can one day know the satisfaction of having someone write "tubby crumb covered mess" in a legal document on your behalf. It’s a unique feeling to say the least. Surprisingly, he makes no mention of the nice things I said about her or the fact that I used a flattering picture of her in the banner. He does go on to say that “your highly offensive intrusion … is magnified by your disparaging, mean spirited commentary.”

I also said she used to be really hot. And then I made a comparison to a catfish. He seems to think that was an insult. But I meant a catfish like General Sherman - strong and verile and undeniably regal. I apologize if that wasn't clear.

The point to all this is that he’s demanding I take down the Janet Jackson video. I’m not supposed to reference what was in the video, but Donald did in that first paragraph if you care to scroll up.
Demand is hereby made that you immediately remove the Offending Footage from www.wwtdd.com website as well as all text references to the footage. We demand that you immediately agree never to post the Offending Footage on the www.wwtdd.com website (and any other website controlled in whole or in part by you); never to provide a link to the Offending Footage; and never to broadcast, exhibit or otherwise exploit the Offending Footage (or any part thereof, including any "lift" or "still" therefrom) in any media whatsoever.
He’s demanding a response by 5 PM pacific time today. So I’m gonna get right on that. And just to prove theres no animosity, I invited Donald to get a Gmail account.


correct me if i'm wrong, but you don't get to demand something gets taken off a website unless you actually OWN it, right?
