Greatest Motown group

From the Marvelettes, to Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, to Diana Ross and the Supremes, to Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, to the Four Tops, to the Temptations, to Gladys Knight and the Pips, to the Jackson 5/Jacksons.. if you were to pick the best Motown group of all, which would it be?

Yeah biggrin I do love their first album. Dallis austin really hooked them up on that one. I need to dig it out again. I just found an old ABC video called "iesha", witha young dallis making a cameo in the video.

The boys were also on motown, as was mc trouble (who i listened to yeserday oddly) and rnb group today. Motown promoted newjack well considering it was an old ass label with 0 cred at that time.

I just watched Standing in the shadows of motown. Not that that's the first time I'd heard of the funk brothers, but it was still a very informative movie and showed how massively talented and underappreciated those guys were.

Greatest group? I dunno. But my favorite is definetely the Undisputed Truth. When Norman Whitfield joined Motown and started experimenting with psychedelic, fuzzy sounds, he created the Undisputed Truth as a group to experiment with. Whatever workd for UT he gave to the Temptations .. anything from "Smiling Faces" to "1990" and others ...
