I'm so freakin' excited about this I could just turn into a bat and fly out the window, I tell you.

If my 18-year-old self knew that my future self would be seeing Bauhaus live one day, I think I'd have spent the last 17 years freaking out on a daily basis.

It's not just that I've loved Bauhaus for a long time - I've been a big fan of Love & Rockets and Peter Murphy through the years as well. I'm a little "eh" about some of Daniel Ash's stuff (though it's pleasant enough and he WAS my fantasy boyfriend in college, after all), and I'm VERY "eh" about David J's solo stuff and about Tones on Tail (YES, I love their one hit song, but that's about it), but for a while in the late '80s, liking Bauhaus was a barometer of cool for me and everyone I knew.

And now, hot damn, all these years later, I'll finally get to hear Bela live. Nice. Can't wait.
