THE BOX...music television...you control.

I miss watching THAT network between 1990-1994. And I also miss having the option to call in & request for whatever video that I wanted to see.

Too bad they were brought out by Viacon and turn into MTV2!

I miss the Put em on The Glass marathons.

i remember seeing "lovesign" on there when nobody else would touch it. other than that, eh. i really only miss USA network's "night flight" all-night music show.

Is it not still going? We've got about 5 different jukebox networks here, maybe more, but The Box itself disappeared.

I didn't know it lasted until 1994. In my area, I remember our cable company carrying it from around 1989 or 1990 and the last time I saw it on the air was when Prince's "Get Off" was popular. After that, it just disappeared.

My God I used to love The Box. I would request Gett Off and a couple of other videos. I miss it.

I definately remember that video. That's the one that showed how he got the name "Hammer".

The Box was only "good" for one thing - ass shakin' rap videos. That's pretty much all they played, videos that wouldn't get play on MTV. You can see that shit anytime late night on BET now. The one I remember seeing all the time on The Box was Funky Y2C by The Puppies.

Come to think of it, that's mostly what I remember about the channel also. I remember seeing The 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny" a lot on that channel.
