Aaliyah's best album

Which of Aaliyah's (R.I.P.) three studio albums is the best?

I gotta go with..

.. simply because I think "If Your Girl Only Knew" and "One In A Million" were her finest singles, and it's her best-produced. I LOVE the album track "A Girl Like You" feat. Naughty by Nature. eek

Her third album, "Aaliyah", is about as good, but showed almost no evolution.

I go with the same. It was the height of my love for her. And the beginning of a new sound.

I have to go with her thrid and last album, "Aaliyah", because it was unlike most R&B albums released in 2001 and I finally knew Aaliyah was a grown woman. My absolute fave track on that album has to be Rock The Boat.

Really hard one!

From Aaliyah I love:
Loose Rap
Rock the Boat
More Than a Woman
I Care For You
Extra Smooth
U Got Nerve

But One in A Million wins for:
Hot Like Fire
Girl Like You
If Your Girl only Knew
Choosey Lover
Got to Give it Up
4 Page Letter
Everything's Gonna Be Alright

CLASSIC!
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Her albums got better and better. So for me, her best was Aaliyah. One in a Million was great as well, but had some weaks tunes. Overall, I think her last album is solid through and through. Her death also makes listening to it a bit somber, so I don't dig it out that often.

I love both One In A Million and Aaliyah. I guess I'll go with ...Million because that's the one that got me hooked but true, Aaliyah had a different sound than what everyone else was doing in R&B then and it was her graduation into full blown womanhood.

Damn, I miss her. sigh

Well, I have 2 say "One In a Million" is the best. Aaliyah is 1 of my favorite
artist.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Yeah, that's so true. It's a little too sad and moody for me, but it is very soulful.

Co-sign. I loved her first album, but this second sounded so matured compared to that first, even though she was still SO young.

Missy & Magoo (?) did a great job on fusing their own sound with Alliyah's voice... and in the meantime created a new level of quality other R&B artists just did not make.

All of her albums were noteworthy but this was her best work, IMO.

I bought One In A Million & took it back b/c I only liked the title song. I'm partial to the remix versions of Hot Like Fire & If Your Girl Only Knew (probably my fave Aaliyah song)... The only album I purchased of baby girl's was the last one (& the tribute album)... Rock the Boat, I Care 4 U, More Than A Woman, Extra Smooth - love all them shits rose

how can you even compare? "one in a million" may have all the hits, but the album drags on and there is nothing that really stands out on there apart from the singles. Whereas "aaliyah" shows maturity and depth in the song writing aswell as her unique vocal skills.

I love the Timbaland/Missy songwriting from this era the best:
Beats 4 Da Streets (Intro)
Hot Like Fire
One In A Million
If Your Girl Only Knew
4 Page Letter*****
Heartbroken*****
Ladies In Da House

The cover songs are great:
Choosey Lover
Got To Give It Up feat. Slick Rick
