Wendy and Susanna collaborate w/Nina Gordon From Nina Gordon's Web site, http://www.ninagordon.com
02.18.05ยท Nina writes from the studio: hey everyone, i am at sunset sound recording with bob rock. i have not been this happy since, ummm, let me think... the LAST time i worked with bob!! we recorded NINE songs in THREE days, and now we are doing some overdubs. wendy melvoin (!!!) came in yesterday to play guitar and bass on a song we wrote together along with her twin sister susannah, called "suffragette." wendy is the coolest girl ever. anyway, we will be here for a few more days, and then i leave for maui in a week to do vocals. yes, life is good. more soon... xoxo nina

She is a founding member of the band Veruca Salt, who had a big alternative hit around 1996 with the song SEETHER. Nina's first solo album 5 years ago showed a more classic pop sound, yet still rocked. Veruca Salt continues on without Nina.
Producer Bob Rock has worked regularly with Metallica, and produced Veruca Salt's most commercial album (it had the MTV hit Volcano Girls on it), and also produced Nina's first solo album. [Edited 8/24/05 6:40am]

I've known about this for months and it's driving me crazy waiting for it to come out! Nina, Wendy & Lisa( I love Susannah too) are three of my fav singers so I was very excited when I first heard about this. ![]() [Edited 8/24/05 20:40pm] ~Stephanie~

All I know of Nina Gordon is a KICKASS acoustic-folk (!!) version of "Straight Outta Compton" which was downloadable from her website. Might still be available. A true gem.
