what no Dave ( baby) Cortez? smile

Using 96 Tears as the jumping off point, all the tunes listed use a similar cheesy organ sound.
My criteria was that the "cheese" was produced by a...

...Vox or Farfisa category instrument.

Even though Dave "Baby" Cortez doesn't get the sound of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff or even Booker T. Jones,
he still plays a Hammond instrument which is why he wasn't included.

He does manage to make it sound rather cheesy though. lol

Unless you just really want to physically own one of these keyboards for looks,
a better way to go is to get a modern electronic keyboard that includes the sound
of these keyboards as one of its patches or as a sample.

Don't think the VOX Continental is made any longer. Aftermarket would be the alternative ($95 - $600).
North Coast Music (specializes in the instruments of the British Invasion) deals with VOX gear in general.

Farfisa is gonna be the same situation.

Someone around here, that's an actual keyboard player, might be able to give you some more info.

cool
