I was straightening out my album collection, when I ran across my old Loose Ends records. I'd forgoten how much I loved this group.(One of the few I liked during this time period... Anyone else with me on this? I have the first three albums... "A little spice" "Zagora" and "Look how long"... Did I miss any? What happened to them?

I miss Loose Ends. I am not sure why they broke up, but I wish they would get back together. Some of my favorites by LE:

cool R&B groove from the summer of '85

One of the best 80s R&B groups. They were the sound of English R&B. Love 'em!

i've always considered them a one hit wonder...are they much more then "strings"?

speaking of which..talk about the perfect band for Hit Me Baby.....

As far as the Billboard Hot 100 chart is concerned, yes, they're a one hit wonder. But they had a good dozen or so hits on the R&B chart. They were a staple there during the mid-80s.

Stay a Little While Child is my favorite tune of theirs. Mariah did a good version of it on her remix of My All.

do you think these are available on CD? used on ebay? And I don't want a hits CD. because some of my favorite jams never got air play.

Loose Ends were OK but the radio used to wear them out so much back in the day that I got tired of hearing them back when they were still popular. I can't blame the radio though because, during that time, jams were beginning to become scarce so they had to wear out what they had.

You need to get a turntable because there are tons of jams that are not available on CD and probably never will be.

who can forget 'who are you'? There was another group that surfaced in the early 90s called the family stand who reminded me of loose ends. they had a nice cut called 'ghetto heaven' in which common used the hook on his cut with macy gray.
