"Michael should work with LI'L JON and 50 Cent to get back on top*!"

What does Michael Jackson need to do to resurrect his career?

I saw this question posed in a newspaper poll this morning. Here were the answers.

"If he collaborates with other popular artists then he could resurrect his career. But I wouldn't buy the album." ~ Steven, 19, Bronx

"If he comes out with an album talking about what's going on right now, then people would buy it. I would buy it, too." ~ Sylvia, 20, New Jersey

"I have no idea. After all this, I don't think he'll ever be the same." ~ Chris, 20, Queens

"He should make a song with 50 Cent." ~ Adam, 20, Manhattan

WHAT DO YOU THINK MICHAEL SHOULD DO TO RESURRECT HIS CAREER?

he needs to lay low for a while. we've already seen enough of 'im, it'd be odd if he were to immediately just go ahead and tour or whatever right after the trial.

I agree that he should lay low 4 a while, but return with an album that is entirely his, no "hot young producers", no collaborations. He should simply tell his story and keep it simple. I think he's got more good music in him, but right now is not the time.

Well, Mickey does have a lot of balls and he has the nerve to flaunt them and grab them. At this point, anything he pulls wouldn't surprise me. But, I would have to agree w/ya that it may be best that he lay low a little while.

Nope. I guess they were trying to seek out the thoughts of today's youth market (which is largely under 21). These quotes came from a paper called Metro which tries to position itself as a commuter newspaper for "young and ambitious readers."

Do you think it'd be cool if Michael resurfaced via Live 8 this summer?

It fits his profile as a humanitarian and it's a larger-than-life cause, suitable for someone like him.

Move over, BONO*!

I dont think that'd be a good idea. It's too early for such a thing considering those people didnt pay to see MJ.

I'd say wait a few months. Taking into account that MJ realeases an album almost evry 4 years. He might give us something this year.

I would absolutely hate to see MJ associate himself with the likes of Lil John and/or 50 cent. If he's ever going to have a comeback, he doesn't need anyone like these idiots to help him along.

MJ needs to take a long vacation. I read in the paper today that he's been invited to participate in Live 8. I hope he doesn't do it because it's way too soon and he doesn't look well to me. He's probably exhausted and IMHO he needs a long vacation away from all the media and all the people that have attached themselves to him over the past several months. He should go with his kids and one or two people that he's very close to and not come back for 6-8 weeks.

Although, if Michael Jackson collaborated with fricken Shaquille O'Neal omfg, then certainly there is nothing wrong with a lil' Fiddy. hmph!

Nah, r kelly did it during his trial (whatever happened to it?) and people didn't care. Mike shoulda driopped something new months ago. Now, this summer is a great time to release something new. He needs to take peoples minds off this horrible, dragged out trial. And he shouldn't wait as people are talking about him more positively again.

You sure about that every 4 years rule? I believe 7 years passed between History and Invincible. Has it been 4 or 5 years since Invincible's been released?

You know u wanna see Michael down some crunk juice and say "Ooookaaayy - Hee hee *hic*"

It would be extremely pitiful if all he could come up with for a release would be cameos with Lil John, 50 Cent, Ja Rule and Ashanti.

Live8? forget it.

I'm just hoping he'll be able to get healthy again. Rest, relaxation and lie low for awhile.

He'd probably get slammed by the media for turning up anyway. Bastards.

I doubt it, especially if Bob gave his blessings, but he shouldn't do it.
