Ya'll are making me feel better. Yeah I'm Gracie, for better or worse.

I really like it here, too, at the org, but I'll be honest with ya, I just don't know as much about music as most of you all. There are certain bands that I like and singers, of course, but I just don't know enough about them to even begin to "converse" with you. I've been a member here and participated nearly a year, but I mostly just read your posts.

I began participating in the Janet forums after the Super Bowl incident coz I was really upset about all of the bad press. It may have run its course, though. I dunno. Maybe I'm just going through a phase. I just participate for fun and relaxation, so if I'm unhappy, it's not worth continuing. But I know I'd miss some of the people, and that's what keeps bringing me back, ya know??

And as for the org, I didn't know much when I first came here, and I felt much the same way you did. If you keep reading posts, you wind up learning a lot and finding a lot of new artists. That's why I think this is the best music forum on the web. I haven't really found anything else like it. There are specialized genre forums, but nothing as broad and knowledgeable as this.

Yo, I totally feel where you're coming from. Back when Damita Jo hit and the first 60 days after Nipplegate, there was a full-scale Janet backlash on the org. This place was toxic. There were Janet haters left and right. Folks were making bait threads, dissing Janet fans, and being outright disrespectful to any and all things Janet. During that time, I temporarily left the org and THAT's when I got into the Xone as a safe haven from the bulls**t.

But I do have times when I just wanna get away from all this internet junk for a minute and have my OWN opinion on an album or song without it being tainted by others views. So it's cool to take a break from time to time to clear your mind. I'm all for forum breaks. Very healthy.

my only concern for janet involves an extreme makeover. if mj is convicted as a sex offender, janet may need to change her image from sex freak to adult very quickly! i can already here people saying "damn, those jackson's are all obsessed with surgery AND sex. it must run in the family."

unfortunately, janet would probably need to distance herself from her brother in as many ways as possible if she wants the public to continue to see them separately.

Well, she won't have to worry about it now.
