She's dirty. The stupidest part is when she took him to the Sprint store to buy him a phone. Did she not think noone would notice them TOGETHER. She should of just bought the phone herself and gave it to him when he visited her house. Gee, I swear nobody knows how to take care of their dirt anymore.

I thought the same thing.. I thought this kid was full of crap.. But he did seem credible.. and had ligit proof...

However, I do think he would of kept his mouth shut if it wasn't for the fact he is going to promote his own album now.. I think he was a bit bitter of the whole thing and decided she screwed me, i will screw her now... (No puns intended)

I would watch a reality TV show if it featured someone I was interested in. I just haven't found one that does. Why can't there be a show about Monica Bellucci trying on her vinyl/rubber Matrix dresses? I would watch that in a second! razz

Well, I'm not crapping on Reality TV in general. There is some very entertaining stuff amongst the reality shows. It is getting to be a bit old that the networks can't come up with much more than another reality show, but that doesn't mean the genre doesn't have some gems.

To me, AI is just a crappy show. It definitely has a lot in common with SATA and Star Search (as well as The Gong Show), but that's not saying much. The show is filled with people who can sing crappy pop, and that's about it.

If the concept was refined a little, say it was "American Band", with various bands competing with original material, then I would have more respect for it. As it is, its just another cog in the machine that churns out bland pop acts. Just my opinion, and I'm certainly not hating on anyone who enjoys the show (well, except for 2the9s. He's a tool).

I have that DVD also. It's very creepy--the whole underground aspect (figuratively and literally). Maybe I'll watch it again tonight also and we can compare notes tomorrow. smile

Wasn't ABC first offered "American Idol"...and passed? Last year, ABC was number four, so maybe that's the motivation but I think just big ratings in general (it's May sweeps in a big way!) is probably the reason, not bringing down Miss "Straight Up" (and how fucking corny is his singing of "straight up" in the new song...terrible).

Yeah...Courtney Love as an AI judge....Now that would be a show! And I'm sorry but I don't think Janet is that desperate yet! Well see what happens with the new CD. Debbie I think would make a good replacement, but I don't see Paula going anywhere. I've given it some thought and nothing seems to stop this show!

...and hopefully, the networks will take the hint and give us more shows along the lines of 24, Boston Legal, Arrested Development, etc.!!!

imdb.com news:

Abdul Fights Back After Ex-'Idol' Gossips

Furious American Idol judge Paula Abdul has hit back at claims she romanced a former contestant on the show by claiming the disgruntled wannabe singer illegally taped a phone interview with her and then doctored what she said. Corey Clark, who was dismissed from the second series of the show when details of his lawbreaking past was revealed, went public with claims of favoritism and his Abdul romance on US news show Primetime Live last night. And the 1980s pop icon is hitting back with claims Clark tricked her into saying certain buzz words and then editing a taped conversation that made it look as if Abdul was courting him. A source tells US news show Celebrity Justice, "The tape was edited out of context to make Paula look bad." Another insider tells the show that Clark allegedly told Abdul on the phone, "American Idol f**ked me," and "I have nothing to lose". The same source tells the show that a producer from an entertainment show overheard this conversation and that at one point a clicking sound could be heard. Paula then asked Corey, "Are you taping me?"

Corey is a bitch. I mean, even if he really did have sex with Paula Abdul, why the fuck is he telling?

'Idol' Draws a Bigger Crowd

American Idol contestant Scott Savol, who had remarkably remained on the show during past weeks while seemingly more accomplished contestants were voted off, finally reached the end of the line Wednesday night. (Earlier, it was reported that Savol had been convicted of assaulting the mother of his toddler son.) The results episode seemed to indicate that the Primetime exposé helped rather than hindered the ratings as it posted an enormous 17.3 rating and a 25 share. A scandal of a different sort failed to pay off for CBS. At 8:00 p.m., Dr. Phil's interview with The Insider host Pat O'Brien about his recent substance abuse problem managed to draw only a 5.7/9, slammed by ABC's hit Lost, which recorded an 11.9/19 and NBC's Dateline, which pulled a 6.0/9.

If you don't want to watch then don't watch it.
What drives me crazy is turning on "news" shows
& having them do stories on these shows like they are news.
I don't watch AI so when I turn on the news before work I don't want some story about how Bo really turned it out last nite on AI.
I've cut back on the news I watch because of the
constant plugging of these shows.
On the plus side I've really gotten into Buffy as my pre-work tv viewing.

Technically Buffy wasn't canceled. Angel was. Joss Whedon and Sarah Michelle Gellar decided at the beginning of the seventh season that that would be the last season. Network execs never got the chance to give them the ax.
