Has Anyone Bought Will Smith's CD Yet?

I plan to buy a copy today. I listneed to most of the songs online and it's really good! Fuck the haters. I don't care that he's not considered gangsta or street. I think he's a much more positive role model for black people than Fiddy!

You got that right Dancerella. I like Will as an actor, but I'm not too fussy on his music, but I completely agree with you that he's a great role model for anyone. 50 is nothing but a thug with a shitload of money. Scary indeed!!

He's been doing a lot of promotion for the CD. Was flipping channels and saw him on the Tonight Show last night.

I listened to it online and I bet they'll release the song with MJB next even tho her screaming gets on my nerves. I hate the flat monotone way he's rhyming but I did think I Wish I Made That/Swagga was quite cute.

Corny or not, I'd rather hear Will speak about his kids and the Nelson Mandela mission than 50 mumble about why he wants to destroy JaRule or how he doesn't have time to take care of his son.

I'm so happy someone agress with me. Even if you don't like his music you have to give him credit for keeping it real in his own clean cut way an not giving in to the pressures of becoming a thug. Though I know no one would belive it anyway. Yes, he's a bit corny but so what some of his songs are good.

Oh, your talking about that song Switch. Ok it sounded decent. I don't know if I would ever buy one of his CD's but I think there's chance this one 1 might get him back in the scheme of things.

Big Willie Style...that sounds like some kind of advertising campaign for a fast food restaurant: "Would you like to Big Willie Size your order, sir?" lol

Yeah, that song switch is pretty hot! To be honest, I never thought i'd want to buy a will smith cd but i'm pretty open minded when it comes to music and I try not to let other people's negative comments on an artist or genre of music influence me. I like to form my own opinions.

Bobby was for a lil' while. Whilst I know "dont be cruel" can never be regarded as an "off the wall" for the 80's (snobs biggrin ), that album is bloody good.

"dont be cruel
"my perogatvie
"roni"
"rock witchya"
"I really love u girl"
"every little step"

Good uptempo's and soulful slow jams. Thanx alot to Babyface and LA reid and course.

I don't get why Will Smith has become the patron saint for positive role models in Rap. De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest were positive too, they also happened to have talent... smile

AGREED. "Summertime" is the only song Will had that was really worth listening to.
