I love Slide(1977), but Slave did that before Steve Arrington joined the Group. He, Curt Jones and Starleana Young joined as vocalists in late 1978, -----they eventually became the lead vocalists by the time Slave's third album, The Concept, arrived. The first Slave tune most people heard Steve on was probably Just A Touch Of Love(1979). He stayed with the group until the end of 1982, when he broke off and formed Steve Arrington's Hall Of Fame...(the other lead singers, Curt and Starleana, and a few other Slave members formed the group Aurra, which hit with Are You Single, and Make Up Your Mind. Aurra later became Deja and had the hits You and Me Tonight, That's Where You'll Find Me, and Serious) Steve Arrington Curt Jones, Starleana Young My favorite Slave tracks: Slide Just Freak Coming Soon Just a Touch Of Love Thank You Never Get Away Stone Jam Sizzling Hot Are You Ready For Love Snap Shot Watching You Party Lites Steal Your Heart For The Love Of You Favorite Steve Arrington/Hall Of Fame Tracks: Nobody Can Be You But You Weak At The Knees You Meet My Approval Dancin In The Key Of Life Way Out Favorite Aurra/ Deja Tracks: Are You Single A Little Love Make Up You Mind Stay In My Arms One More Time Still Free Keep Doin It Live and Let Live That's Where You'll Find Me ... I love Slave, especially the tracks with Steve Arrington and Starleana singing vocals together. Lately, I've really been into Feel My Love and especially Starting Over.
Will their other albums ever be re-issued on CD?

Ho-lee cow...now I have to go listen to "Steal Your Heart".
Didn't Keith Sweat remake "Just a Touch Of Love"? Wasn't half-bad, from what I remember. [Edited 4/7/05 20:52pm] The ORG - the only place where you can be called a wigger, a racist and a Nazi and be banned for defending yourself. It's so hard being white nowadays...

Steve Arrington's "Positive Power" album always seems to be over looked. It was his second solo release and every cut on there was hittin. Sugar Momma Baby was the main single and received some airplay. But other jams like 15 Rounds, Money On it, and the title track were just as good if not better. That's always been one of my favorite album of the 80s. Another Jam by Steve was "Homeboy" which came out a few years later. Steve Arrinton has always been one of my favorite funksters. Oh Shit, you really took me back with that one. Man that used to be one of my serious slow jams damn. I haven't heard that song in years. Whoa. "Oh No, Sugar Momma Baby."
