i learned something funny today--janet jackson/dr. pepper commercial

those new dr pepper commercials where somebody says "phenomena" is straight from track from track 16 on the janet album...love pt 2..11 seconds long...of course i'm sure it's tied to something else, but i almost spit my soda out while listening to it

I saw this commercial the other day. Very cute. Phenomena is one of the most memorable songs/episodes from The Muppets. Here's a snippet with them singing it.

Yup, I grew up with the Muppets originally doing that on Sesame Street, back in the late 60's/early 70's...years later, it was done again, on " The Muppet Show"...

..The song was originally done by Piero Umiliani in 1968, and it was called "Mahna Mahna"...(it was originally featured in a Swedish "Adult" film, lol )
(a speeded up instrumental version was also heard sometimes on "The Benny Hill Show"....

Oh yeah, the "adult" film that featured the song:

'Sweden, Heaven Or Hell'

I've heard of Mahna Mahna before but never actually heard the song. I keep trying to imagine mahna mahna in place of phenomena. I'm curious.

Yup, in fact, that Muppets clip you inseted earlier had "Mahna" as the title.....
