U reckon P Diddy will end up like MC Hammer?

U know bankcrupt? I know P has his hole in clothes but I reckon, give him say 7 or 8 years, bloke will at least be in serious finanical debt (if he ain't all ready)

Not only that, but P diddy is religious like Hammer is too. Hammer always was religious like p didy so diddy end up a preacher like hammer..

P Diddy has seemed to have given up on his career in music, or is he just not selling no way near as much anymore?

Yeah it is easy to say that now, but did anyone predict hammers fall from grace? Even his 1994 album "the funky headhunter", still went gold in USA, which was good by rappers standards back then?

P Diddy has vast spending habits i reckon? He seems to live like Michael jackson, who himself, despite still a very strong back catologue of his own, was primaraly saved form financial troubles by the beatles catologue. What publishing does diddy own?

I would imagine that Puffy is in a much better financial situation than MC Hammer. Diddy's record label has been successful, his TV shows were hits, and he has that clothing line. Puffy's been around since the early-mid 90's producing hits, also.

As much as I wish he'd disappear from the face of the earth, I think he's going to be around for quite awhile longer.

Yeah but will it last?

Remember Hammer wasn't only the biggest selling rap act ever, but had the biggest selling record that year (1990) in the US proberly (9 or 10 million?)

P diddy as an artist hasn't moved that much record wise. I know he has his hand at everything whilst hammer only had his roster of artists but diddy lives it up huge, as did hammer and give it 7 or 8 years, u may hear of him with big money trouble.

I just cannot see his empire lasting?

Forbes magazine says that Mr PopaDiddypop is worth an estimated $450 million. That includes his publishing, record label, clothing lines, restaurant chains, films, televison contracts and God knows what else.

When Diddy said that "I thought I told ya that we wont stop", he wasnt joking.

Wait a minute...I thought just a few days ago we had the ultra-enlightening article that said major artists made no money?

Oh, yeah, that was bullshit!

Diddy spends like a lunatic. And we all know that artists live on credit, which explains those "Cribs".

Damn it. I had no idea that he had so many ventures?

Maybe Diddy (seriously) saw Hammers mistake of solely relying on record sales. A mistake that Hammer learned alot harder then most.

Diddy is in one of Father MC's videos as a Newjack dancer.....hah, he was a would be hammer 4 a little while.

It is quite amazing how he executive produced Jodeci's first album "forever my lady" wayyyyy back in 1991.....he even create their look I think too.....which was pretty cool if u remember early Jodeci!

Lets wait say 10 years then?

MC Hammer was a damn fool for going broke the way he did. You can't give every bum you know a job for doing nothing. Of course, you'd go broke. You work your ass off and go broke and they still have their little money for doing nothing. Like I said, he was a damn fool.

Exactly.I always say that P.Diddy is the smartest person in hip-hop.He knew early on that it would be a good idea to "branch out" into other areas besides just music. He's into the restaurant business,he has a successful clothing line, a hit TV reality show, and who knows what else?

Hammer, unfortunately, didn't see the writing on the wall.He wasn't the type of artist that was gonna be around for the long haul.If he had done like P.Diddy and invested his money in other ventures,he probably wouldn't have gone broke.

Agreed other than the fact that Russell Simmons is even shrewder and smarter.

Yeah, i agree. Shame though as it proves his heart was in the right place not to spend it all on himself.I don't know the full story, but Hammer musta felt like shit 4 what his "mates" did to him.

One of his dances was on Peter Andre's (UK six pack singers) tour in mid 90's.....I thought the dancer looked familier as some of Hammers dancers had weird hair! biggrin

None of Hammers roster of artists were that sucsessfull. Special Generation did ok, and the only one people may remember was Oaktown 357.

I thought B Angie B was gonna be big?
