Lewis Taylor

Lewis Taylor is the underrated musician today. His latest release,
"the lost album" is nothing short of brilliant. It is my hope that as many people as possible hear his music. He crafts these songs, with out of this world melodies and uses his voice to create harmonies that would make Prince rewind and listen again! He is that damn good. This album Lewis plays everything. His first 4 albums were geared more towards r-n-b and dance music. This time he lets his guitar act as the centerpiece. Imagine Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, CSNY, Brian Wilson doing an album together. This as close as you'll get. It's definitely my "record of the year".

This is one of those releases I'm hesitant to get. Lewis was on a roll since his debut and with every following album. Then it all went wrong to my ears with Stoned Pt 2. It's the remixes that have me hesitant to buy this. I've heard very good reviews of this album, but I'm scurred boxed

Don't be scurred chicken. Trust me. I cannot get these songs out of my head. It sometimes sounds so beautiful it almost hurts to listen to it!!! I too was disappointed with Stoned pt.2. This is on another planet though. The songs are songs not just some funky grooves, which he is awesome at as well of course.

His first album from 1996 is 1 of the
best albums from the 90's I think.
It's absolutly briliant.
I'd love 2 hear his latest. It's so hard 2 find tho'
I guess I have 2 order it from the net somewhere.

Check this record out!!! It's one of the best albums to come out years. The greatest thing about it is that Lewis is an independant artist. Check out his label, www.slowreality.com

I got this album yesterday... and I admit...
I shouldn't have doubted him. I can't get past Leader of the Band worship

Yes leader of the Band has a similar effect on me also. It's like Todd Rundgren with EWF singing background on the "take me by the hand section". I can't say enough about how this makes me feel. I bet Prince would love it!
